i made a picture ref ! had a few asks about this kinda thing so i finally did it ~ i don’t always work on big collections of items all at once, but i personally find for a ‘collection’ it’s better to colour each item simultaneously for a nice cohesion. (PS. pls be respectful of my art style & experiment fully with your own artistic licence!) guess this is a weirdly specific example anyway haha
