a lot of people seem to be reporting tumblr deleting their blogs, and it’s because of the bots. however, it is NOT for posting nsfw content.
it’s for having links in your blog description.
remember a few days ago when people couldn’t search for posts with links in them? it’s most likely related to this. even non-nsfw blogs are being taken down in the purge. so to prevent your blog from being deleted, REMOVE LINKS FROM YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION.
Also, if your blog is deleted on accident, email tumblr staff about it, and they will restore your blog.
also to add on to this from what im seeing this purge happened like days ago and today so if your blog hasn’t been deleted already it probably won’t be considering how much shit tumblr is getting for it

If you use Tumblr, backup your stuff right now and make a post redirecting your followers to another account, Twitter or something like that
Apple removed Tumblr from the App Store because their porn bot problem got too big, and they don’t allow explicit NSFW apps
Tumblr, like the galaxy-brained geniuses they are, are going on a spree and deleting lots of NSFW blogs
Even famous artists like cutesexyrobots and eigaka got their blogs purged, so ACT QUICK
Blogs arent getting deleted on purpose and yall need to stop starting mass panick literally right now cause its annoying

So apparently its “just a glitch” and if you get in contact with tumblr if ur blog got deleted theyll get it back for ya but like….
This is all too coincidental to be a glitch in my opinion. Me thinks tumblr was gonna delete all these blogs but went back on it or were just trying to delete the porn bots and went overboard.
Either way it seems we’re gonna be okay until the next time tumblr fucks up.
That just isn’t funny.
Like I’m glad it’s a “glitch” so far… I was legit panicking.
